PRESS RELEASE – 27 March 2019 – As of 1 April, Machine Fabriek Elburg BV will continue the
activities of Nannoka Vulcanus BV. The new company will proceed under the name Vulcanus
Castings BV. The company based in Langerak (Doetichem) is an iron foundry. Initially, a
number of the more than 115 employees will be directly employed. The current expectation is
that customers will start to place frequent orders again.
Vulcanus produces cast semi-manufactured products for tractors, drives, vacuum pumps, and earthmoving machines. The activities of Vulcanus Castings BV and Machine Fabriek Elburg BV
complement each other well. Both companies serve the same markets and are now able to meet the
demand for supllying finished castings directly to assembly lines. In fact, there are a number of joint
customers. With this strategic acquisition, Machine Fabriek Elburg aims to take full advantage of the
synergy benefits and improve profitability for both companies in order to guarantee long-term
continuity. Naturally, sutainability and envrionmental care will require a great deal of attention and be
explicitly included in the innovation and investment policy.
Machine Fabriek Elburg BV is a flexible supplier specialized in the machining of castings. Customers
include producers of trucks, pumps, compressors, and engines. This rapidly growing company invests
heavily in capacity and technology. Parts are currently supplied to companies including: Daf Trucks,
Paccar, Bosch Rexroth, Woodward L’Orange, Parker Hannifin, Liebherr and Krone
